What So Not
2021 marks the 10-year anniversary of What So Not. For Chris Emerson, the creative at the heart of the project, it is a time of realization and research, rethinking and renewal. It would be easy for the Australian producer and DJ to stay sequestered in What So Not’s significant accomplishments, not the least of which are surpassing one billion global streams and collecting Gold Plaques. Instead, Emerson scaled back his touring to get re-centered as a person and refreshed as an artist.
Joey Valence + Brae
Multi-genre producer, vocalist, and writer, Joey Valence is blending elements of classic breakbeat Hip-Hop, boom bap, hardcore punk, and other alternative genres in a strikingly refreshing way.
Combined with the additional lyrical talent of vocalist, Brae, the two have explosively launched into the Alternative and Hip-Hop scenes with their high-energy antics, easily identifiable style and masterful use of social media. Over just one year, the duo has organically garnered over 1 million total followers, 80 million views and 22 million streams.
The Brook & The Bluff
The Brook & The Bluff is a four-piece band with four-part harmonies based in Nashville, TN. Originally from Birmingham, AL, their name is derived from the pockets of Birmingham where they grew up — Bluff Park for frontman Joseph Settine, and Mountain Brook for bassist Fred Lankford, drummer John Canada and guitarist Alec Bolton.
The band has built a successful foundation touring, growing from bars in the southeast to headlining sold-out rooms in major markets across the country. Their 35 date fall 2021 headline tour included marquee sell-outs at The Bowery Ballroom, The Troubadour, two nights at The Basement East, and many more.
Evening Elephants
In just 4 months, 4 rehearsals, and 1 passionate evening. The evening elephants performed in the same backyard they met in, only a year and a half before. The life is swell EP brings out joy, understanding, and compassion, that you would hope to find in a new friendship. Let alone, band members. Be on the lookout for these superstars on the rise.
